Legal
Privacy policy
We keep this simple: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you around the web. Last updated July 2026.
Who we are
Crème & Flourish is an independent Anglo-French baking brand. For any privacy question, email hello@cremeandflourish.com. This policy is written for UK GDPR and PECR.
What we collect right now
Today the site is free recipes and reference content — there are no accounts, logins or forms to fill in, so we don't ask you for any personal information to browse.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-first — it measures page views and performance without cookies or cross-site tracking, and doesn't identify you. Because it sets no cookies, there's no consent banner to click.
- Essential technical data: like any website, our host (Cloudflare) processes your IP address momentarily to serve pages and keep the site secure. We don't store it.
What's coming (and how we'll handle it)
As we add features, we'll only collect what each one needs, and we'll update this policy:
- Newsletter: double opt-in (you confirm by email), with one-click unsubscribe in every issue. We store your email and consent record only.
- Accounts & the cook-along: an email and password to sign in and save progress; community photos pass moderation before they're shown.
- Ebook purchases: handled by our checkout partner as merchant of record — your card details never touch our servers.
- Bespoke enquiries: the details you send us to quote your cake, kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry.
Cookies
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics is cookieless. If we ever add a feature that needs a cookie (for example, keeping you signed in), it will be strictly necessary for that feature to work.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Email hello@cremeandflourish.com and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We'll update this page as the site grows and note the date at the top. Questions? Just get in touch.
